Ho-Ho-Ho! Merry Christmas everyone! Today’s update brings out some awesome new Christmas festivities including Bethlehems very first custom quest, two new fashionable Christmas outfits and some new consumable items.
Important Achievements News
Guys, it’s not easy to own up to one’s own mistakes but unfortunately I made a decent mistake when releasing the achievements system. The achievements system was supposed to be something for all players to do during their adventure here on Bethlehem, progressively getting harder as the game went on. What this means is that each tier above easy was supposed to be locked for the player until the previous tier was fully completed, this was the intent from the start and was a key piece to the update that I regretfully forgot to white the logic for before the achievements system was released. In today’s update, this logic will be present in the game moving forwards meaning that players, new and old will be required to complete all the easy achievements to be able to start the medium achievements, and the same goes for having to complete all medium to start the hard achievements. Achievements will not be reset, as the rewards have already been given out and this would be unfair to everyone if we were all able to obtain the rewards again, but from here on out the rules above will apply to completing the achievements. I’m sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.
For anyone that has previously completed the easy tier in full, you will not be able to progress without running this command “::checkcompleted”. This will effectively tick off the fact that you have completed the easy achievements already and you can progress on to medium. This should also unlock hard by default if anyone has completed Medium as well.
Apologies again, now let’s get on to the festivities!
Christmas Quest
To start our brand new Christmas Quest, talk to the very frantic and upset Santa at home as he needs your help!
I don’t want to give away too much here as the quest itself is pretty easy to follow and all parts can be completed by all players!
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated so let us know how we did 🙂
Gingerbread Point Zone
Once you complete this year's Christmas quest, you will gain access to the North Pole which is currently overrun by little Gingerbread Men. Kill the Gingerbread Men for points to spend in the Gingerbread Point Shop.
The amount of Christmas boxes you can buy from this shop is dependent on what tier of achievements you have completed, click “value” in the shop to see the totals per rank.
While using a Jester Scarf, Candy Cane Scythe, Scythe (i), Wreath Shield, Wreath (i) or Fat Santa Pet; you will get double points!
New Christmas Items
Elf Set - This funky little elf costume can be worn to get an extra 3% chance to receive legendary rewards from boxes
Grinchy Elf Set - Invented from a full set of Grinch & a full set of Elf, can be worn for an extra 10% chance to receive legendary rewards from boxes
Gingerbread Man - Can be consumed to give the player a small chance to find a Christmas Box while killing Titans
Gingerbread House - Invented from Gingerbread Front, Walls, Roof, Candy & 100 Gingerbread Men and can be consumed the same effect as above, but you keep the house (This may come in handy for future seasonal updates 😉 )
